                               Board Appointment

Biofutures International plc ('Biofutures'), the AIM listed company established
to invest in or acquire assets, businesses or companies in the renewable fuels
industry, is pleased to announce that David John Long was appointed to
the Board, as an independent non-executive director, on 5 February 2008. Mr
Long, 62, has many years' experience in business operational management and
business accounting processes. The Board is confident that his commercial and
professional experience will be an asset to the Company.

David Long is currently a director of Relief Accounts Investigations Limited.

David Long does not hold any shares in Biofutures.

In accordance with paragraph (g) of Schedule Two to the AIM Rules for Companies,
the Company confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed in
respect of David Long's appointment.
