                        Appointment of Finance Director

Julie Patricia Pomeroy, aged 50, has been appointed finance director of
Biofutures with effect from 24 August 2006. Julie graduated with an honours
degree in Physics from Birmingham University. She is a Chartered Accountant and
in addition holds tax and treasury qualifications. Julie was Group Finance
Director of Carter & Carter Group plc until October 2005 having joined in 2002
to help grow and float the business. She had previously been Chief Financial
Officer of Weston Medical Group plc and prior to this, Julie worked at East
Midlands Electricity plc as Director of Corporate Finance. Since leaving Carter
& Carter she has been following a portfolio Finance Director career working with
growing businesses.
